INTOSAI WGFA KNOWLEDGE SHARING WEBINAR 2025

Following the success of the Inaugural Meeting of the INTOSAI Working Group on Follow-up Audit (WGFA), held from 26 to 28 June 2025 in Penang, the National Audit Department of Malaysia (SAI Malaysia) continued its proactive efforts to strengthen public sector auditing at the regional and global levels through the Knowledge Sharing Webinar 2025. The programme was organised by the INTOSAI WGFA in collaboration with the ASEANSAI Knowledge Sharing Committee (KSC).

The webinar was officiated by Her Excellency Dato’ Seri Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi, Auditor General of Malaysia, who also serves as the Chairman of both the INTOSAI WGFA and the ASEANSAI KSC. The webinar successfully attracted more than 350 participants from INTOSAI WGFA and ASEANSAI KSC member SAIs, representing 44 SAIs from five INTOSAI regional organisations, namely ASOSAI, EUROSAI, AFROSAI, ARABOSAI, and CAROSAI.

Among the highlights of the webinar were:

A knowledge-sharing session by representatives of the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI), who emphasised the importance of a strong Audit Follow-up System as a foundation for enhancing the effectiveness and impact of audits, thereby contributing to improved governance; and

Presentations on the implementation of Audit Follow-up practices by five SAIs, namely Thailand, Kazakhstan, Oman, Kenya, and Tunisia.
